Overview
Even though most people would not consider working at a computer a high risk activity continuous usage of Display Screen Equipment places significant risks on the persons health.
This course helps to reduce the risk of computing related musculoskeletal disorders and eye problems.
Course Aim:
To ensure that the participants has the appropriate skills and resources to identify a safe method of carrying out their tasks at a DSE Workstation.
Course Programme:
The course is delivered to a group of 15 participants with the theory part of the course lasting for approximately two hours. This will be followed by the trainer/assessor carrying out individual assessments on each workstation. The total duration of the course is 1 day.

- Introduction
- Display Screen Equipment Regulations 2007
- Common Risk Factors
- Posture & Health Management
- Individual Practical Assessment
Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for all persons carrying out work involving Display Screen Equipment.
Assessment & Certification
On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a certificate which is valid for 3 years together with a copy of each individual assessment and recommendations.
