Hiring a Health & Safety Officer

Demack Safety Ltd. are looking for a Health & Safety Officer. Ideal opportunity for a graduate looking to gain experience in Power Plants. Candidate will be establishing and maintaining a working environment and implement Occupational Safety, Health, Welfare and Environmental best practice, which provides for the safety, health and welfare and well-being of all employees.

The Role involves working alongside the Environmental, Health & Safety Officer to:
Ensure the coordination/organisation of EHS management
Advise all level of employees in relation to EHS matters
Duties will include

• Carry out Site Inspections
• Developing Risk Assessments
• Developing EHS Policies and Procedures
• Incident Investigation and Reporting
• Conduct and Deliver Training, Toolbox Talks and Seminars
• Prepare Method Statements & other safety documentation
• Recording statistics & KPIs

The Candidate must have:

• Third Level qualification in Environmental Health and Safety (or be working towards one)
• Certificate in Training is favourable
• Experience Working with Management Systems and Developing Policies and Procedures
• Experience in Working at Heights/Construction
• Chartered Member of the IOSH or Working towards
• Public Speaking/Presentation and Communication Skills
• Good communication skills/outgoing personality
• Experienced Knowledge of the Microsoft office package
• Attention to Detail
• Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis
• Risk Assessment Preparation
