Overview
It is a legal requirement that in the event of a fire you have trained staff who can take control of the situation and help in the effective evacuation of staff, contractors and visitors.
Course Aim:
To ensure that the participants will be in a position to competently carry out their duties as Fire Marshals.
Course Objectives:
At the end of the course the participants will have a clear understanding of:
- Their Roles & Responsibilities as Fire Marshals
- The Evacuation & Emergency Procedure
- Legal Requirements
- Identify Fire Hazards
- Fire Risk Assess
- Use Fire Extinguishers
- Carry out practical evacuation procedures.
Course Programme:
The course is delivered over 1 day to a group of 10 participants with the theory and practical fire evacuation training.
The course covers the following topics:
- Introduction
- Theory of Fire
- Common Fire Hazards
- Specific Fire Hazards
- Fire Fighting Equipment
- Evacuation Procedures
- Practical Exercises & Demonstrations
Who Should Attend?
This course is intended for employees who have been nominated as Fire Marshals / Wardens.
Assessment & Certification
On successful completion of the course participants will be issued with a certificate which is valid for 3 years.
